Experience

Kelly became an Associate in 2022 after starting at Parlee McLaws as a summer student in 2019 and completing her articles with the firm. Her practice is litigation focused, with an emphasis on labour and employment, and corporate commercial litigation. She has been involved with matters before various tribunals and levels of court, including the Alberta Humans Rights Commission, the Court of Justice, and the Court of King’s Bench.

Before attending law school, Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning and Art & Design from the University of Alberta, and then worked for two years at a local not-for-profit. During law school Kelly participated in a clinical placement at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, volunteered with Student Legal Services, and Co-Chaired the University of Alberta Faculty of Law’s Women’s Law Forum.

Kelly has a keen interest in volunteerism and community development and values the relationships she has been able to foster in her various roles over the years.

Outside of work Kelly enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, as well as their family and friends, getting outside, eating good food, and exploring her favourite city, Edmonton.
