The ideal candidate should have experience dealing with corporate / securities matters with a proven desire to work alongside clients to achieve their desired outcomes. There will be opportunity to assist a senior lawyer with a busy and diverse practice. This role is with our downtown Edmonton office, which has operating hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Qualifications: • Valid law degree from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution or recognition of accredited degree from a foreign post-secondary institution • A member in good standing with current, active membership with the Alberta Law Society • Corporate and / or securities practice experience • Ability to exercise sound judgment, manage conflicting priorities, and work collaboratively • Desire to build strong client relationships • Responsive, resourceful, practical, and a diplomatic problem solver • Readily adapts to, and works effectively with changing priorities in a high-volume work environment • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail • Must speak, read, and write English fluently While meeting all requirements is preferred, applicants with a similar set of skills and experience may also be considered.
